What Piko means to us
We can’t say exactly what Piko means, it’s more of a way of life and a relational understanding. Like a belly button, Piko speaks to the very start of life, the umbilical cord that nourishes a child in the womb. It’s a connection to our ancestors, our parents, and our future generations. It is the source of our health and a link to the land.
Piko is our center
This name was given to us for all those reasons, and because it represents our dedication to rebuilding and rejuvenating connections and honoring our community every step of the way.
Reciprocity with people and planet
From nourishing the next generation to regenerating local food systems, Piko Provisions is working hand-in-hand with communities and farmers to restore the planet we’ve borrowed from our children.

Regenerating our rich natural resources
Our growing partners use regenerative farming techniques that can improve soil health, sequester carbon, and increase biodiversity. These practices have been used for centuries by indigenous populations to care for the land, water, and organisms we depend on to live.
Reviving our local food industry
Our work starts at the farm, but doesn’t end there. Creating meaningful food system change means working with all kinds of Hawaii-based businesses, organizations, and advocates. Piko Provisions meals are a part of a broader effort to help people all across Hawaii to prosper.
