The Hawaiʻi ʻUlu Co-op is a farmer-owned business with over 140 members working to revitalize ‘ulu (breadfruit) and other Hawai‘i-grown staple crops such as kalo (taro), ‘uala (sweet potato) and palaʻai (pumpkin) by empowering farmers as change-makers in Hawaiʻi’s food system. We are proud to partner with them as a significant source of our superfood ingredients.

Kākoʻo ʻŌiwi is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation based in the ahupuaa (watershed) of Heeia, moku (land division) of Koolaupoko on the island of Oahu. With the support of the local community, Kākoʻo ʻŌiwi was formed in 2007 and currently holds a 38-year lease agreement with the State of Hawaiʻi Community Development Authority (HCDA) to implement Mahuahua Ai o Hoi (Regrowing the Fruit of Hoi), a long-range project to restore agriculture and ecological productivity to nearly 405 acres within the wetlands of Heeia.

We partner with Lanakila Pacific and their team to help us process fresh fruits and vegetables and to build independence and an improved quality of life for individuals with cognitive, physical, social or age-related challenges.

We are proud to source fresh ingredients from MAʻO Organic Farms. They are building a future of māʻona, of plenty, by connecting youth and land through the daily practice of aloha ʻāina, empowering youth to succeed in college and secure sustaining careers, and growing organic produce that yields individual and communal vitality.

We are proud to partner with Ladd Ka-hai Ah Choy of Ho’oulu Punalu’u Farms as he expresses his kuleana to care for the land and to properly manage the resources and gifts it provides through mãlama ‘ãina. As he farms for the people who came before him and for future generations, so they always have food and space to thrive.
