Piko Provisions seeks an Operations & Fulfillment Assistant, hungry to make a change in our local food system by helping our operations to run smoothly, effectively, and ensure the highest quality food goes out to our community. This person’s objective will be to lead or assist in inventory management, order fulfillment, shipment and delivery, product manufacturing and preparation, and overall operational efficiency and improvement.

Ultimately, a top-notch operations specialist should have excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Position Overview
We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Operations & Fulfillment Assistant to support day-to-day business operations. This part-time role is ideal for someone who’s organized, proactive, and excited to contribute across multiple areas — from food production and order fulfillment to warehouse operations, deliveries, and general business support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the production of finished goods, including:
- Preparing and handling raw ingredients
- Operating small-scale manufacturing equipment
- Following recipes and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Performing thorough cleaning and sanitation of tools and workspaces
- Fulfill and prepare online and wholesale orders for shipment or delivery
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and production area
- Conduct local deliveries to customers and retail partners (mileage reimbursed if using personal vehicle)
- Receive, track, and restock inventory; assist with counts and reorders
- Support with general admin and operations tasks, including light office work
- Work with inventory and business software, including spreadsheets, shipping platforms, email, and other basic systems
- Ensure all tasks meet food safety, quality, and cleanliness standards
- Bring a positive, can-do attitude, and help identify and solve operational problems
- Suggest improvements and ideas that help our small team work smarter and better
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Current Food Handler’s Safety Card (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to lift ~40 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with basic computer tools, including inventory software, spreadsheets, email, and shipping systems
- Prior experience in CPG (consumer packaged goods), food production, fulfillment, or warehouse work preferred
- A reliable, detail-oriented self-starter who communicates well and takes initiative
- A strong problem-solver who can think critically and make thoughtful recommendations
- Passion for local food, sustainability, or community-driven businesses is a plus!
Schedule & Pay
- Part-time: Approx. 10–20 hours/week (flexible schedule)
- Occasional mornings, weekends, or deliveries may be required
- Pay: $25/hour
